Deleuze - Dialogues

Gilles Deleuze with Claire Parnet
Translated by Hugh Tomlinson, Barbara Habberjam, and Eliot Albert

"The best introduction to Deleuzian philosophy. A dazzling exposition of Deleuzes concepts and methodologies, of how to think in new ways in order to liberate life wherever it is imprisoned . . . Dialogues affirms how a new type of revolution is about to become possible."
—Eric Alliez

In the most accessible and personal of his works, Deleuze examines, through a series of discussions with Claire Parnet, such revealing topics as his own philosophical background and development, the central themes of his work, and some of his relationships, in particular with the philosopher Félix Guattari. This new edition contains a new essay, The Actual and the Virtual.

so. this IS the best introduction to Deleuze? i've been meaning to read "a thousand plateaus" for a while now but i) it's fairly expensive and i'm still waiting for someone on amazon to offer it for a slightly more affordable price and ii) without any basic knowledge i fear i'd find myself getting caught in a maelstrom of confusion, haha.

thus, i'll take a look at this, and since i already have "in the mirror of maya deren", i shall deem this as a gift, okay? ;)

take care & thank you for this,
your blog appears definitely worth exploring.
